Since putting my Simpsons target cards up a couple of days ago I've had over 1000 downloads of them so I guess they're in a lot of schools, including some Secondary! Those that have left a comment have had a copy automatically sent to them of the original document. Once of the questions I've received back from a lot of those people is how do I get the Simpsons font that you used?
The answer is at Simply The Best Fonts. The Akbar font based on the handwriting of Matt Groening, the creator of the cartoon TV series "The Simpsons". There is another Simpsons font available on Fry Fonts but I don't think this is a good.
Installing this, or any other font is not difficult, but it is important to do it correctly otherwise you can end up with problems. I've put instructions to install fonts on the PC with XP and Windows 98 below. To install fonts on a Mac please check out the MyFonts Page.
- Save your font in a location you can remember, and unzip it if needed.
- Load the Control Panel
- Choose Fonts (You may need to switch to classic view to do this)
- Choose File
- Choose Install Font...
- Open the File that you saved in step 1
That's it - all done!

What a fab-dokerly-okerly idea. More and more we are being told children need to know their targets and with this it is not only making their targets interesting it is also something they like so they are more likely to pay attention to them. Thankyou for sharing this fabulous idea x

The Simpson Targets are awesome, I'm from Melbourne Australia and I'm moving from upper to lower primary this year for the first time, it would be great if I could have a blank copy too.
